Day 1: Mysore/ Mangalore to Chikmagalur | Chikmagalur Arrival & Sightseeing

On the first day of your Charming 2N Chikmagalur Package, our driver will pick you from Mysore or Mangalore. The journey from Mysore or Mangalore to Chikmagalur will take around 4 hours of time. You will travel comfortably in our exclusive taxi and reach Chikmagalur without any hassle. Once in Chikmagalur our driver will drop you at the selected hotel, as per the package. You check in at the hotel and after freshening up you leave for sightseeing.

Sightseeing in Chikmagalur starts by visiting the Hebbe falls. This grand falls which are divided into 2 sections, namely Dodda Hebbe and Chinna Hebbe can be reached via a jeep ride. Spend some time with your loved ones watching the heavenly streams of water cascading down from the mountains into a serene pool. From here visit the Rose garden. Admire beautiful flower beds showcasing different varieties of roses. You can also go for leisure walks here.

From here our driver will take you to Kemmanagundi in your dedicated taxi. Kemmanagundi is an ideal location for adventure lovers as well as nature enthusiasts. Visit the Kemmanagundi viewpoint for one of the best views of the valleys around. Another scenic place which you will cover on day 1 is the Z point. While trekking to this point you will walk through dense jungle and will be welcomed by the stunning views of the western ghats.

Visit Kallathigiri Waterfalls or the Kalahati falls. This mesmerising waterfall will attract you with this heavenly beauty as well as its religious importance. Close to the falls, a temple is located. Visit the Kallathigiri temple and seek blessings of Lord Shiva. It is an ancient temple showcasing impressive architecture.

Return to Chikmagalur and rest at your hotel. In the evening if you have enough time you can visit the local markets and explore the local produce and handicrafts.

Day 2: Chikmagalur Sightseeing

Have a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel and then start the day 2 of the trip.

Visit Mullayanagiri, which boasts of being the highest peak in Karnataka. Mullayanagiri Peak with an altitude of 1,925 metres above sea level, offers the best panoramic view of the mountain ranges. After spending some time here and taking insta-worthy photos, visit Seethalayana Giri Temple. Imbibe the calming and the divine aura of the temple and then leave for Honnamana Halla Falls. Located 25 km from Kemmanagundii, these falls are a must visit. Also called ManikyaDhara Falls, these waterfalls are considered auspicious by both Hindu and Muslim Devotees.

Another waterfall that you visit on the second day of Chikmagalur trip is the Jhari Waterfalls. One of the popular tourist places to see in Chikmagalur, the beauty of these falls can be guessed from the fact that it is often known as Buttermilk falls. You end the day sightseeing by visiting Baba Budangiri Hills. This mountain range, which is dedicated to sufi saint Hazrat Dada Hayat Khalandar is a popular trekking site as well as religious shrines. Here you will find three caves, where three great saints have been buried.

Day 3: Chikmagalur Sightseeing | Chikmagalur to Mysore/ Mangalore

Visit Yagachi Dam. Admire its natural beauty as well as go for a few fun water activities. Boating like speed boating, banana boating is very popular here. You can also kayak or try water scooters.

Next visit the famous Chennakeshava temple in Belur. It will take you around 40 minutes to reach Belur from Chikmagalur. Chennakeshava temple is a star shaped Hoysala temple complex with captivating architecture and religious as well as historical importance.

You then go further to Halebidu and visit Hoysaleshwara Temple. A 12 century temple, which has been proposed to be included in the list of UNESCO world heritage sites in India, it is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It boasts of exceptional architecture.
